  Frequently asked questions

IN today’s article, I will try to answer a number of questions that most people ask and that may be boggling even your mind right now. Read on.

Q: Pastor, I married my wife in 2001 in a traditional way and our marriage was not blessed in Church .I still love my wife though my Pastor has advised me to divorce her so that I can look for another woman and have my marriage blessed in Church. Pastor can I divorce her?

Ans: Never should you do such a thing because only death can put your marriage asunder. Do not divorce so as to have a right to have another woman. You married in a traditional way where only parents blessed your marriage. What you need to do now is take your wife and go and sit down with your Pastor so that he can counsel you and then he will pray for you and commit your marriage in God’s hands.

Q: Pastors, why do you tell people to divorce because they married in a traditional way? Does it mean all the members you have in your Church had weddings? God loves even those who had their marriages blessed in a traditional way. It is your duty to help them have their marriages in line with scriptures for them to have their marriages in a Godly way. If you don’t know these, stop marrying couples/blessing marriages but bring in some one to help with the word of God to have all traditional marriages turned into scriptural blessed marriages.

Pastor, My husband does not want to work!

BLESSED be the glorious name of our dear Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in the heavens and on earth.
Blessed be His name because He lives and because He liveth, I shall also live. He redeemed me and gave me a sure foundation for his construction. Brethren, remember this, He is on the throne and am reigning with Him. And that applies to every person who is a born again Christian.

I received a text message from one of our readers who enjoys reading this column every week. I felt many people out there are going through the same problem but cannot come out in the open for help. This is why I thought of bringing this problem out so that even those people who are facing the same problem could be helped.

The message went as follows:

Zambia’s false political crisis

There will be many reasons for people to disagree. In fact, disagreeing is a very normal thing in life. The right to dissent, although not recognised as such per se, is a fundamental requirement in any functional society – particularly, that which espouses democracy.

We want to take this opportunity to argue that the right to dissent does not necessarily mean the right to anarchy, a vice that few of our people, with a chain of qualifications in deception boast of.   Read More...
